It's the affordable, self-service edition of Wirevet, the cloud veterinary software built by Wirelan SPA in Chile since 2008. It includes 13 modules and bounded limits on users and records, sized for a small practice or a solo veterinarian.

It's the same system, with 13 of the 24 modules switched on and caps on how many users, veterinarians, products, services, test types and suppliers you can hold (pet owners are unlimited). In exchange it costs less and you buy it online, with no implementation project.

Yes. The system works in any country and the interface is available in Spanish and English. The Chile-specific capabilities — such as electronic invoicing with the tax authority — belong to the full version, not to Lite. The catalogue that comes preloaded carries Chilean market reference prices: if you work in another country you change them during the initial setup, or later from inside the system.

From the sign-up page on this site. You fill in your practice details and we send your login credentials by email. The system doesn't arrive empty: products, services and lab tests come preloaded, priced at Chilean market reference values, and during the initial setup you just change the prices.

No. Wirevet Lite runs in the browser, optimised for Google Chrome, Safari and Firefox on current versions. You sign in with your username and password — nothing to install, nothing to update.

A desktop, laptop or tablet. The system is cross-platform and runs on Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, but it displays clinical records, schedules and reports with a lot of information on screen, and that needs more room than a phone offers.

It works, and it is useful for checking things: today's schedule, or a quick look at a record. But we don't recommend it as your main tool — consulting, charging or filling in a full record from a phone is awkward because of how much information is on screen. Use a computer or tablet for that.

Wirevet Lite needs a connection, like any cloud system. The upside is that your data doesn't live on the clinic computer: if a machine dies, you sign in from another one and everything is there.

Four system users and two veterinarians with a schedule. These are commercial limits the system enforces when the record is created.

The pet's owner — your client. The plan doesn't cap the number of registered owners, and each of them can have as many pets as they need, with a full clinical history each.

No. Records, prescriptions, estimates, lab test orders, appointments, counter sales and reminders have no limit. The caps are on catalogue items (products, services, test types, suppliers) and on the people who work at the practice (users, veterinarians); pet owners are not capped.

The system doesn't create the record and shows you a message with your plan's cap and how to raise it. Everything else keeps working normally.

For the files you upload: PDF lab results, photos and documents attached to records. If it fills up you can't upload new files, but you can carry on booking, treating and taking payment without a problem.

On Wirevet's infrastructure in Chile, with encryption, role-based access control and backups — the same infrastructure that runs the full version of the system.

Wirevet Lite gives you the technical baseline: individual logins, role-based permissions and access logs. Your practice remains the data controller; Wirelan acts as the processor. In Chile specifically, the new Personal Data Protection Act (Law 21.719) takes effect on 1 December 2026.

You get in touch and we enable it on your existing account. The plan caps are lifted and the extra modules are switched on; your data is kept.

No. Lite and the full version are the same system, so there's no migration and no loss of history.

Yes, and it's included in the Lite plan at no cost. Wirevet Tutores, free on the App Store and Google Play, lets the pet owner see your real availability and book, confirm, reschedule or cancel their own appointments without calling. They also see their pets' records and get the practice's notifications on their phone.

Yes, and it's free on the Lite plan. In Settings you authorise your practice's Google account once; from then on, every appointment you book is copied to your Google Calendar with an invitation to the owner and the vet, and comes with a Google Meet link for remote consultations.
